Welcome to the Official Website of the Eastern Region Solid Waste Management Committee. Eastern Region Solid Waste Management was established in 1996 as a committee with a representative from each of the five municipal councils in Antigonish and Guysborough counties. The Eastern Region, along with six other solid waste-resource regions, was formed by the Province of Nova Scotia to help Nova Scotians reach waste diversion mandates required through provincial regulation.

The Community Access Program helps Canadians take advantage of emerging opportunities in the expanding global knowledge-based economy by offering services like program tutorials and technical support.
